The Crêpes Parfait CompanyRoberto Catanuso and Mounir Elhilali were first introduced while working at a Washington, DC restaurant in 1998. The restaurant duo appreciated each other’s professional skill, passion and dedication—while naturally forging a friendship with entrepreneurial ambitions.
In 2012, the Crêpes Parfait company was born!
Executive Chef, Owner
A graduate with honors from L’academie De Cuisine, he went on honing his skills for more than 12 years in the restaurant industry, making his way up in the process to become executive chef at some of the best restaurants in the Washington DC area, including Tosca Ristorante in Washington DC, where he had the pleasure to cook for numerous high profile personalities including Hillary Clinton, Patrick Ewing and Georges Clooney. He also helped bring two restaurants to the “Washingtonian’s best 100″ Terrazza Ristorante in Chevy Chase, MD and Amici Miei in Potomac, MD.
Being a French speaker, Chef Mounir traveled to France to research and learn the art of making crêpes, he brought back not only recipes to the perfect batter, but also the know how to make the perfect crêpe. He brings his vast knowledge of French and international cuisine, his excitement and creativity to Crêpes Parfait by creating an infinite array of the most delectable crêpes, both sweet and savory.
General Manager, Owner
Originally from Italy, Roberto always had a passion for food, a sophisticated palate and a sense for what makes food great. As a student he spent his free time traveling Europe country by country furthering his knowledge of European foods and cuisine.
When he emigrated to the US his management skills and knowledge allowed him to manage some of the best restaurants and hotels in the DC area, along with the dining events at the Italian embassy.
With over 15 years of experience in the restaurant industry, Roberto brings not only his management skills and knowledge to Crêpes Parfait, but also his customer service skills along with his light spirit. He makes it his focus to make each visit by his loyal customers a different, fun and memorable experience.
